Enjoy Marseille

Welcome to Marseille, queen of the Mediterranean
Steeped in 2600 years of history, the town of Marseille is a melting pot of cultures. A subtle yet powerful charm radiates from what was once an Ancient Greek city and is now an active and attractive town. This charm captivates visitors as they wander round the Old Port, the gardens of Greek and Roman remains or those in the Longchamp Palace. More Mediterranean than Provencal, Marseilles has many attractions – its environment, its picturesque markets as well as its warm-hearted cosmopolitan population. It is the capital of the third most important French economic region and the largest tertiary and industrial centre in the south of France. Marseilles is resolutely turned to the future and is establishing itself as the main economic centre of the Mediterranean Basin.

This third Conference of Myology will be held in the Palais de Congrès de Marseille within the Parc Chanot. Situated in the centre of town at five minutes’ distance from beaches and the rocky inlets of the Mediterranean and at the centre of the principal axes of communication, the 17-hectare Parc Chanot accommodates both the Parc des Expositions and the Palais de Congrès.
